The shaft adjusts between 1800 and 2130 mm (70.86 to 83.85 inches), so you set it to suit you.
To set it the first time, stand the paddle upright beside you and extend it to roughly 20 cm (8 inches) above your height. Reach up and your wrist should rest comfortably over the handle. From there, shorten it slightly for surf and wave riding, or lengthen it a little for flatwater cruising, until the stroke feels natural.
How do I lock the length in place?
Grip the adjuster clip between your thumb and forefinger and gently pop it out to release the clamp. Slide the shaft to your setting, then press the clip back down to lock it.
What is it made of, and what does it weigh?
A carbon fiber shaft with an angled nylon composite blade, weighing 1.7 lbs. The carbon shaft is stiff, so more of each stroke goes into moving the board and less into flex — noticeable over distance and when you are pushing pace.

Will it float if I drop it?
Yes. When fully assembled the paddle is designed to float, so it will not disappear beneath the surface if it slips out of your hands.
Can I use it as a kayak paddle?
No. This is a single-blade paddle built for stand-up paddleboarding and it does not convert to a double-blade setup. For kayaking, particularly over distance, a double blade is the better tool — though many customers manage short casual paddles with a single blade.
